Ammonium Sulphate - Uses
- Use to increase Nitrogen levels in the soil
- Use to feed your lawns as nitrogen is essential for leaf growth
- Add to vegetable garden to feed hungry plants such as cabbage
- Add to alkaline soils to reduce pH (Makes soil more acidic)
- Most vegetables require a neutral to low pH (6.5-7) to grow well
- Use to feed any leafy or hungry garden shrubs
- Helps to reduce clover build up on lawns
- Prevent Potato Scab by lower soil pH
Ammonium Sulphate - Advantages

- Encourages blue colouring in hydrangeas
- Revitalise box, laurel & privet hedging

Ammonium Sulphate - Application
- Apply in Spring & Summer
- Ensure an even application
- It is best to mix Ammonium with soil or sand to an even spread
- As a general plant feed / lawn feed
- Scatter 35g per m2
- Lightly rake into soil / rake into lawn
- Repeat process twice over the growing season
- Do not apply in late Summer or Autumn
- To lower soil pH
- First test your soil to determine soil pH
- If alkaline & you want to make it more acidic
- Scatter 70g per m2
- This is likely to change pH by 0.01 on the scale i.e. from 7.3pH to 7.2pH
- Lightly rake into soil
- To Control Clover on Lawns
- Apply 15g per m2

- Reduced growth rates
- Nitrogen is the most important plant nutrient
- Nitrogen needs to be added to the soil each year
Soil Acidity - Notes
- Most vegetables prefer soil that is slightly acidic
- Most garden shrubs prefer a soil that is slightly alkaline
- Test soil before applying
- If your soil is alkaline, sulphate of ammonia will make it more acidic
- Organic ways to make soil more acidic
- Adding Peat
- Adding farmyard manure

Bulk Bags & Large Item Pallet Deliveries
- Bulk bags & large orders are shipped via pallet couriers on a rigid lorry
- Delivery is to kerbside only
- If road access to your site is tight, then please advise us before purchasing
- Please Note: We cannot guarantee next day delivery on pallet deliveries
- Also, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day (Please allow 1-3 days for delivery)
- It's always best to order well in advance to avoid disappointment
- Cancellation of pallets when items are already in transit will incur a 40 euro per pallet cancellation fee (To cover return delivery costs)
- Where pallet delivery can not be made due to site access, a 40 euro per pallet cancellation fee will apply (To cover return delivery costs)
