This course is by far the most popular offered by SOLAS Education as it gives a great variety of hands on experience in Ecommerce and Food industries along with Career advice from an experienced entrepreneur.
Module #1 Business Case Study and Career Guidance Classroom (45 Minutes)
- Key Question: Which business to be in & what career to choose?
- How to grow quickly and how to measure success – The steps involved. The talk is given by David Maher, who is founder of a number of multi-million companies including TheGardenshop.ie (Ireland's largest online garden centre), FreeTV.ie, SOLAS Eco Garden Centre and eCom Park (a commercial property business).
Module #2 Business Case Study - working in eCommerce warehouse (45 Minutes)
- How eCommerce works: from receiving an order, picking, packing & shipping based in 20,000 sq. ft online warehouse. This warehouse at peak times ships 2,500 parcels a week.
Module #3 Business Case Study - working in SOLAS Food Court (45 Minutes)
- Hands on experience of making great coffee and tasty pizza
- Waste Management: Interactive recycling games
Lunch (45 Minutes)
- Finish with Lunch in the SOLAS Food Court with pizza for students and a choice from menu for school teachers included as part of the course package

- Group Size: We can cater for group sizes from 25 to 120 (Under 25 on request)
- Cost: Course costs from €20 per student depending on Group size
Format of the Day
- See below typical timetable for the running of courses depending on whether students are attending 1 or 2 courses in a single day. Note we are flexible on start and finish times and can start courses from 8.30am onwards to suit bus pickup times.
- Single Course: Arrive 10:50am, Course 11-1.15pm, Lunch, Depart 2.00pm
- 2 Courses: Arrive 9am, Course 1 9-11.15am, Lunch, Course 2 12-2.15pm, Depart
