Sowing Instructions
- Sowing time: Late winter to early spring
- Stagger sowing times
- Sowing location: Sow indoors in 9cm pots
- Use potting compost
- Soak well before sowing
- Sow three seeds per 9cm pot
- Cover lightly with compost
How to Transplant
- Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle
- Generally once seedlings are 10cm tall (8 weeks after germination)
- Transplant into large containers or direct into soil
- Harden off before transplanting to outdoors location
- Prefers partial shade
- Soil: Moist soil with moderate fertility
- Requires space to spread
Crop Maintenance
- Keep moist & weed free
- Cut back hard each year to prevent plant from getting leggy
- This is also keep plant heathly
- Plant can be invasive; grow in pots
- Or divide section of herb bed using galvanised sheeting or bricks
How to Harvest
- To Harvest: Cut back hard each year
- Harvest twice - cutting half the plant back each time
