Rosa 'Dame de Coeur' - Characteristics
- Award winning red rose
- Flower: Cluster of blossoms on upright stems, 6cm in width
- Flowering: June to November - Repeat bloomer
- Colour: Bright red
- Mature Height: 60 - 100cm
- Habit: Perfectly upright
- Vigorous growth rate

- A hardy plant - Able for cold winters & hard frosts

- Wonderful bright red rose looks great in any garden
- Classic red ideal in rose beds
- Plant with white flowering 'Iceberg' rose
- Suited to a traditional garden or traditional planting scheme
- Under plant with Lavender, Box, Santolina or Sage
- Can be grown to form an informal flowering hedge
- Suited to a sunny spot on most soil types
Rosa 'Dame de Coeur' - Planting Instructions
Sowing Time
- These roses should be planted the moment they arrive
- Planting season for bare root is October to March
- Avoid planting in frosty conditions
Hole Preparation
- Prepare a good size planting hole. 1½ x 1½ ft
- Loosen the soil in the hole & mix in well rotted manure
- Also add a small handful of fertiliser pellets
Handling the Plants
- Take care not to damage plant's roots
- Keep covered until time of planting
- Do not expose the roots to light or allow to dry out
- Ensure roots are always protected from frost prior to planting
- Water plants before & after planting
- Feed plants over the Summer months, using a fertiliser high in potassium
- Apply rose clear to foliage to prevent mildew, rust & greenfly aphids
Pruning Roses
- Roses need to be pruned back each year
- They will grow fast & develop several flowering stems each year
- In early Spring, once worst frost has past, prune your roses
- Cut out all dead, dying & diseased branches
- Remove any crossing over or rubbing stems
- Prune back remaining stems to approx. 30cm above ground level

- Hybrid teas are a modern group of roses
- Created by crossing teas & perpetual roses
- Known for their large blooms
- Generally hybrid teas have sparse foliage & pointed flower buds
- Hybrid teas can be pruned back harder than floribunda roses

- Bulk bags & large orders are shipped via pallet couriers on a rigid lorry
- Delivery is to kerbside only
- If road access to your site is tight, then please advise us before purchasing
- Please Note: We cannot guarantee next day delivery on pallet deliveries
- Also, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day (Please allow 1-3 days for delivery)
- It's always best to order well in advance to avoid disappointment
- Cancellation of pallets when items are already in transit will incur a 40 euro per pallet cancellation fee (To cover return delivery costs)
